Rachel Bilson, known for her keen fashion sense, is without most of her stylish wardrobe after someone stole jewelry and designer clothing – including a trove of vintage shoes and her Chanel collection – from her L.A. home.

"She's shaken," a friend of the Jumper actress tells PEOPLE. "She feels violated."

The burglary happened sometime in the last few weeks, while Bilson was in Canada with fiancé Hayden Christiansen, to whom she's been engaged since the holidays.

Bilson's mom discovered the missing merchandise, which also included a television set, when she stopped by the house. There was no obvious sign of forced entry, and the source says police are investigating. Police did not comment on the incident.
"They stole all her designer labels – shoes, clothes, bags … She collected a lot of vintage shoes – she's a size 5 – and they took them all," says the pal. Also boosted? "All her jewelry, including some handed down to her by her grandmother."

"Fashion is her passion," says Bilson's pal. "She's devastated."

Bilson's rep confirmed the break-in, and said the loss is estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
